Cannacurio: Cultivation Leaderboard (May 2020 Update)

We have been tracking key cannabis activities on the Cannacurio blog and this week we look at YTD cultivation licenses.   Last time we checked California and Oklahoma were responsible for 94% of the new cultivation licenses issued and that trend continued though it is down slightly. Oklahoma shows a steady decline while California bounced back in May.

Key Findings

  • Active licenses are up 17% since the beginning of the year with 2,382 added
  • California is up 26% while Oklahoma is up 20%
  • Michigan was a distant third with 88 licenses added through May
  • 92% of the new licenses were in California and Oklahoma
