Sage Intacct is a cloud accounting and financial management solution for the cannabis industry from Sage, a leader in cloud business management software. As part of the Sage Business Cloud, Sage Intacct is designed to improve company performance and make finance more productive.
Cannabiz Media recently spoke with Ryan Fleming, account executive, and Paul Clifford, senior solution consultant, at Sage Intacct to learn more about how they use the Cannabiz Media License Database to support their business development, lead generation, and sales initiatives.
Sage Intacct subscribes to the Cannabiz Media License Database for both business intelligence and business development purposes. Ryan explains, “We’re using the Cannabiz Media platform to generate leads and create lists of leads that match the client parameters we’re looking to go after.”
With lists of leads created within the Cannabiz Media License Database, Ryan, Paul, and the team at Sage Intacct can improve their sales outreach efforts. “We’re taking those lists that we build in the Cannabiz Media platform, using our own internal tools, and putting together messaging to go after cannabis companies that could really benefit from Sage Intacct and could use our help,” shares Ryan.
In addition to directly supporting Sage Intacct’s sales and growth efforts, the Cannabiz Media License Database is also a reliable source of industry news and information to keep the team up-to-date on what matters to them, their clients, and the marketplace. “I just love using Cannabiz Media’s platform to log in every morning, look at the news feed,and see what’s going on out there,” says Ryan.
As a cloud-based solution, Sage Intacct is a “living, breathing machine,” according to Ryan. He explains, “We do a release every quarter with about 15 enhancements in each release, so there are always things that we’re improving on to make the lives of accountants simpler.”
Two areas where Sage Intacct is specifically planning to grow in the near future are artificial intelligence and data intelligence. Specifically, Ryan shares, “We just launched our Sage Intelligent Time that’s going to help folks as they’re doing work, and we’re launching the Sage Intelligent GL where we’ll actually go through and find different anomalies in the books. This will allow clients to get ahead of problems rather than waiting until the end of the month and discovering something went wrong.”
Some of the future initiatives Sage Intacct is looking at for the future have come directly from the cannabis industry’s growing needs. “In the cannabis space, folks are trying to get into the subscription model where consumers get a package every month and pay businesses recurring revenue,” says Paul. “Sage Intacct has functionality to do this already. So it’s being able to do things like that inside your accounting system that gives you a different lens to see the profitability of your organization.”
