Cannabiz Media Client Spotlight – springbig

Cannabis dispensaries and retailers across the United States rely on springbig’s SaaS-based dispensary and brand marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), and omnichannel loyalty platform every day.

Using the springbig software, licensed dispensaries, retailers, and brands can connect directly with consumers, develop and implement loyalty and referral programs, promote through text message marketing, and manage the customer lifecycle to increase sales, retention, and revenue.

Since the beginning of 2022, springbig has made a series of strategic moves that helped the company land at number 269 on the Inc. 5000 annual list of America’s fastest-growing private companies in 2022. In addition, springbig debuted on NASDAQ (NASDAQ: SBIG) and merged with Tuatara Capital Acquisitino Corporation – now SpringBig Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBIGW).

Cannabiz Media spoke with Jeff Harris, CEO of Springbig, to learn more about how he and his team use the Cannabiz Media License Database for marketing, sales, data analysis, and more.

Why Does springbig Subscribe to the Cannabiz Media License Database?

Springbig subscribes to the Cannabiz Media License Database to identify and quickly act on new opportunities, develop unique marketing campaigns, and improve sales call outcomes through the use of intelligent data analysis.

“The Cannabiz Media License Database is a core part of our business development and marketing strategy,” says Jeff. “The tools Cannabiz Media provides to companies like us have been really, really helpful. The daily license update email is read by multiple people at springbig every day. Literally, the minute it comes out, they’re looking at the new license updates that Cannabiz Media sends out, and we’re able to get a jump on opportunities that your team uncovers for us and others.”

When Jeff and his team identify new opportunities through the data available in the Cannabiz Media License Database, they act quickly to use it to their advantage. “We’ve leveraged opportunities found from the Cannabiz Media data and have created unique marketing campaigns,” Jeff shares. “The License Database is a core part of our technology stack and our information stack, and I can tell you, it’s one of the most widely used pieces of software and information that we have here at springbig.”

Ultimately, Jeff’s team is able to derive significant value from the Cannabiz Media License Database. According to New Cannabis Ventures, the company has grown to approximately 1,400 clients across 2,900 locations (twice the 700 clients and 1,400 locations reported just two years ago in 2020) and works with the majority of large multi-state operators (MSOs).

Jeff explains, “A tool is only as good as the value it brings, and I can tell you that our team really looks for that daily email that comes from Cannabiz Media with license updates. They look for the tools and the new things that Cannabiz Media offers and the new opportunities we have to leverage that data.”

In addition to using the Cannabiz Media License Database to create email marketing campaigns, the springbig team uses it to collect information in support of sales efforts. Using this information, the sales team sees better results.

“When we start trying to reach out and contact retailers or brands, we actually have the ability to have an intelligent conversation with them,” Jeff says. “We’ve been using the Cannabiz Media License Database for years now, and there is no end in sight to us wanting to use it. We really get a lot of value out of it.”

What’s Next for springbig?

Springbig continues to grow and as New Cannabis Venture reports, future growth strategies will include M&A to grow the company’s revenue streams, add value to its software, and improve the company’s ability to serve its clients.

Today, springbig has already added and is preparing to launch multiple new and enhanced features to its platform that are highly valuable to users, including:
