Cannabiz Media Client Spotlight – Trym

Trym is a cannabis business software for cultivators that provides team management, plant tracking, analytics tools, and more. As the company’s tagline explains, Trym is a cultivation software that helps take the WTF out of your ROI.

Recently, Cannabiz Media spoke with Karen Mayberry, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Trym, to learn more about how she and her team use the Cannabiz Media License Database to support their business development, sales, and marketing initiatives.

Why Does Trym Subscribe to the Cannabiz Media License Database?

Trym subscribes to the Cannabiz Media License Database for sales outreach as well as for email marketing and research purposes. “We love the Cannabiz Media team, and the database has been super helpful for our sales team,” Karen says. “Our business development rep loves to get into the database and do his investigative work.”

For the team at Trym, the Cannabiz Media License Database allows them to integrate their marketing efforts to increase value – particularly their content marketing and email marketing investments. Karen explains, “Content marketing is big for us, and what we’ve been able to do with the Cannabiz Media platform is distribute our content wider by having access to all of the email information and the whole database.“

We’ve also learned a lot of great tips from your team about how to approach cold outreach. The team at Cannabiz Media has been helpful in not only just offering us this great product, but giving us some insights and strategy on how to be most successful with the product. We learned the email marketing we do through the database is a great way to distribute our content, provide more value, nurture those prospects who are interested, and then hopefully, build a relationship.”

Karen also shares some tips for using the Cannabiz Media License Database for other subscribers. She explains, “One of Cannabiz Media’s email advisors told us that you have to always think like the prospect and ask, ‘What’s in it for me?’ So when you’re crafting an email campaign, you definitely need to think about what’s in it for them. What’s going to inspire them to open the email and click through? We want to be providing value, and we don’t want to just be filling people’s inboxes with spam.”

What’s Next for Trym?

In addition to continuing to improve the Trym software and expanding deeper into markets across the country, one of Trym’s priorities for the near future is to focus on growing integrations and partnerships. Currently, the team is working to integrate the Trym platform and an HR company platform with a projected completion date of the first quarter of 2021.“

Technology solutions are getting more and more sophisticated,” says Karen. “Our platform is now really, really scalable, and I think integrations are going to be really exciting. We want to integrate with a ton of partners in 2021. We have a long roster of folks that we definitely want to hook up with.”
