To some fanfare, Ohio pushed up their timeline for adult use cannabis to be made available in the state. Instead of a September 7th launch, the regulators approved 60 licenses soon after the window opened on June 7th. Some outlets reported that 62 licenses were issued but upon closer inspection, two had the same address as the regulator in downtown Cleveland and were labeled TEST. Best to ignore those. After waiting for some late Oklahoma license renewals to settle, we wanted to show the growth in cultivation licenses over the last three years. As we shared throughout 2020, the license growth has primarily occurred in California and Oklahoma. They account for 70% of the active cultivation licenses in the US, up from 67% in 2019 and 51% in 2018.
